Where to Stay in Milos
port-town ease or quiet coves
Where to stay in Milos — central Adamas for boat trips and ease, quieter Pollonia for the best food, or a cliffside cove for the splurge.

Milos gives you two natural bases. Adamas, the main port, is central and practical — most boat trips to Kleftiko leave from here, and it's an easy drive to Sarakiniko and the coves. Pollonia, a smaller fishing village on the northeast tip, is quieter and has the island's best tavernas.
For something special, the south coast has cliffside hideaways above turquoise water. Whatever you choose, rent a car — Milos is more spread out than it looks — and book the shoulder season for the calmest version of the island.

Questions, Answered
Where is the best area to stay in Milos?
Adamas, the main port, is the most practical base — central, walkable, and where boat trips depart. Pollonia, a quieter fishing village on the northeast coast, has the best food and a relaxed feel. The south coast has cliffside luxury hideaways. Rent a car wherever you stay.
Do you need a car in Milos?
Yes — Milos is larger and more spread out than many Cyclades, with beaches and villages scattered around the coast. A car (or scooter) makes reaching Sarakiniko, the southern beaches, and the fishing villages far easier than relying on buses.
